Professional Photographers of America – Gerhard Bakker Award

Events and Workshops

I am pleased to announce that I was awarded the prestigious Gerhard Bakker award  this year at Imaging USA. This award “may be presented annually to an individual, school, company or organization that best epitomizes outstanding service through education in the field of photography and visual communications” and I am honored to be the recipient. I am incredibly blessed  to have met, and become friends with so many exceptional photographers through Professional Photographers of America and I can’t even  begin to tell you how much I have learned from you throughout the years. So thank you, my extended family, for such a memorable evening.

Wow! Everyone is being so kind! Thank you all so much for your encouragement. Honestly though, the credit should go to so many people. There is an entire team of brilliant engineers that make the killer products I get to talk about, superb product managers that keep it all on track and keep me “in the know”, a very talented video production team that make sure that I don’t drone on forever, AND excellent editors that really know how to make me sound good. I am truly thankful to all that are involved. : )

The recipient was deserving, graceful and elegant. The dress and shoes were stunning. At least that was the talk I overheard in the hallway after the awards.
