I’m excited to announce several new features and enhancements in Adobe Camera Raw including Generative Remove (Early Access), enhancements to Lens Blur, and support for Content Credentials (Early Access).

With the help of artificial intelligence, Adobe Camera Raw can automatically generate a synthetic depth map based on the content of an image, enabling photographers to change the focus plane and quickly create a “narrow” or “shallow” depth of field in an image. The video below demonstrates how to use Lens Blur, apply a Bokah effect, visualize and customize the Depth Map, and use the Refinement brush.

Everything You Need to Know About Point Color in Adobe Camera Raw

The new Point Color feature in Adobe Camera Raw enables more powerful and precision color editing than even before. In this video you’ll learn how to use Point Color to make adjustments based an all three dimensions (Hue, Saturation, and Luminosity). While Point Color is designed to be easy to use (you can simply sample a color and start making adjustments), this in-depth video also points out key differences between Point Color and Color Mixer and demonstrates how to use the range sliders to achieve the exact color adjustments that you’re after. Photoshop Updates: Native Version for Apple M1 Chip, Super Resolution, & Improvements to Cloud Docs

I’m happy to announce that today Adobe shipped the first version of Photoshop to run natively on Apple computers powered with the M1 chip, a new Super Resolution feature in Camera Raw which uses an advanced machine learning model to intelligently boost the resolution of an image while maintaining clean edges and preserving important details, and improvements to Versions and access to files while offline for Photoshop on the iPad.

How to Create Custom Raw Defaults in Adobe Camera Raw v12.3

The new Raw Defaults interface in Adobe Camera Raw (ACR) provide a much easier and more intuitive way to assign and manage the default rendering of your raw files across multiple camera models. Raw Defaults enable you to set custom defaults instead of having to first import files and then change settings.

How to Create Custom Raw Defaults in Adobe Camera Raw (v12.2) 

Adobe Camera Raw’s new Raw Defaults Settings panel provides a much easier and more intuitive way to assign and manage the default rendering of your raw files across multiple camera models. For example, you may want to change the default rendering setting (such as apply a custom camera profile, change the amount of sharpening, or enable lens profile corrections), on all of the images that you import from one camera model but not from another instead of first importing your photos and then having to changing the settings.
