Hi Julieanne, I’m a ex Northern Californian now based in Australia. I shoot Nikon and am quite keen to get Lightroom 6. Not sure if my computer will support it. Also, do I need anything else besides the program to make it operate. Pretty confused,, as you can probably tell. For one thing, should I order it in Australia or from the USA? Any difference or compatibility isssues?

Is your bank and residence in Australia and you live there permanently? If so, I would create a new Adobe ID for Australia.
