In this video, Julieanne Kost walks through several options in Photoshop Beta that can help visualize layer bounds and preview layer edges, quickly select layers within groups, and transform the contents of a layer.
Update! Update! Update! The team just added a new behavior to the current Photoshop Beta that I didn’t know about… If you’re hovering the cursor over the image area and there are multiple layers underneath the cursor (like I show in the video with the adjustment layer on the right side), you can use the [ and ] keys to cycle down/up through the layer stack so that you can preview the Layer Bounds of layers lower in the Layers panel! And, if your keyboard doesn’t have those keys, you can customize the keyboard shortcuts by selecting Edit > Keyboard Shortcuts > Tools > Show Previous Layer Boundary/Show Next Layer Boundary.
