Automatically write changes into XMP — Edits made in the Develop module will be saved into XMP only after the active image selection changes (in other words, when you move to another image). Note: Automatically write changes to XMP must be enabled in Catalog Settings for Lightroom Classic to write the settings to the files (or to an external sidecar file for proprietary raw files).
