The new Raw Defaults interface in Adobe Camera Raw (ACR) provide a much easier and more intuitive way to assign and manage the default rendering of your raw files across multiple camera models. Raw Defaults enable you to set custom defaults instead of having to first import files and then change settings.

Adobe Camera Raw’s new Raw Defaults Settings panel provides a much easier and more intuitive way to assign and manage the default rendering of your raw files across multiple camera models. For example, you may want to change the default rendering setting (such as apply a custom camera profile, change the amount of sharpening, or enable lens profile corrections), on all of the images that you import from one camera model but not from another instead of first importing your photos and then having to changing the settings.

I’m excited to announce the following new features and updates to Adobe Camera Raw including GPU Accelerated Image Editing, Save as PNG, smarter Profile and Preset handling, and enhancements to 360 Aware Image editing.

The new non-destructive Texture slider (available as both a global as well as a local adjustment) in Adobe Camera Raw, can be used to decrease or increase the appearance of  “texture” in a photograph while still retaining fine details.
